STAR Co-Op Program
New 2025 STAR Co-op Program
We have implemented a new Authorized STAR EV Dealer Co-op Program starting January 1, 2025. This will now be a year-over-year program. Your vehicle purchases in 2024 will determine the amount of STAR Co-op dollars available to you in 2025. Your Co-Op Available dollar amount will still be based on $50 per car, but it will be calculated each January. You can utilize your Co-Op Available funds to promote your business and STAR EV with STAR Merchandise or for reimbursement on advertising. For pre-approved marketing campaigns, STAR will credit your account up to 50% of the marketing media costs. Get exposure, get floor traffic, and, of course, get more sales!
CO-OP FUNDS AVAILABLE
Your available Co-Op Marketing Dollars will be displayed on your Co-Op Report page within the STAR Dealer Portal. The amount available for 2025 was calculated by multiplying the number of vehicles sold in fiscal year 2024 by $50. At the discretion of the STAR Dealer, this amount can be used for marketing items or advertising. The Co-Op Available funds cannot be used for vehicle purchases, parts, or accessories.
CO-OP FUNDS REDEMPTION FOR STAR MERCHANDISE
If used for marketing items available on the Dealer Portal, the amount is deducted from your Co-Op Available until the balance reaches zero. After reaching zero, the marketing items are handled as any other part ordered from STAR, and you will receive a STAR Invoice. There is no Advertisement Reimbursement.
CO-OP FUNDS REDEMPTION FOR ADVERTISING
You can also redeem the Co-Op Available to offset the costs of advertising in your local market. STAR will reimburse you up to 50% of your media buy.
EXAMPLE: You have an ad approved by STAR. You spend $200 on a newspaper ad in your local market. You submit a copy of the ad and a copy of your invoice to STAR. You are now eligible for a $100 Advertisement Reimbursement from STAR.
The total amount of Co-Op Available can be used to purchase media at your discretion until the balance reaches zero.
ADVERTISING REIMBURSEMENT
Advertisement reimbursements can be used for parts, cars, accessories, merch, or reimbursement checks. To receive an Advertising Reimbursement, follow these steps:

Determine the advertising you would like to run. The Advertising Guidelines can provide information about the necessary elements. | Prior approval from STAR | After you receive an invoice from your selected vendor, make a digital copy that you can upload to STAR EV along with a digital copy of the advertising you placed. Submit your vendor’s invoice and a copy of the advertising you have done to STAR through the following link: | STAR will issue you an Advertisement Reimbursement that can be used towards parts, cars, accessories, merchandise or a reimbursement check. |
NOTES:
Custom ads that are not approved before publication may not be eligible for credit. You have until December 31, 2025, to use your existing Co-Op credits awarded from 2024. Co-op credits not used by December 31, 2025, will be forfeited. Contact your Business Development Manager if you have any questions.
